About the Role
Connect2Socialwork is recruiting on behalf of a local authority in the South East of England for a qualified Social Worker to join their Children Looked After Team, based in Reigate. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service recently rated Good by Ofsted, where social workers are described as "well-trained, committed, and proud to work there."
This role focuses on supporting children living with relatives, foster families, prospective adopters, or in residential and semi-independent settings. The successful candidate will build meaningful relationships with children and young people, plan for permanence, and support their journey toward independence.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake regular visits, assessments, and reviews of Care Plans
Build and maintain trusting relationships with children and young people
Champion the voice of the child and support them in achieving their full potential
Prepare reports and attend court when required
Work collaboratively with family support workers, health services, CAMHS, IROs, and carers
Receive regular supervision and access to mental health-focused consultationsIdeal Candidate
Qualified Social Worker with completed ASYE
Registered with Social Work England
Experience working with children in care or similar statutory settings
Strong understanding of safeguarding, permanence planning, and child development
Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
A commitment to child-centred, relational practiceRewards & Benefits
