Job Description

Social Worker required for work within the Children with Disabilities Team in the Portsmouth area. 37 hrs a week with flexible working. Competitive rates of pay to £42ph depending on experience. The team has a strong management structure and stable team. 
 
 Children with disabilities social worker - completing safeguarding enquiries with a good knowledge and background of supporting children with disabilities. Flexible working available minimum of 2 days within the office. varied caseloads. great transport links to city. 
 
 We currently operate a business as usual service which requires five days in the office unless there is specific work required when working from home can be considered 
 This is a Children with Disabilities position and requires the candidates to have the following 
 1. Candidates have 3 years post qualifying experience 
 2. Recent experience of working with children with disabilities 
 3. Preferably in a statutory organisation or the third sector 
 4. Experience of advocating for the child/young person and their family at Resource Panel Meetings 
 5. Highly desirable would be experience in non verbal or alternative communication methods due to the nature of the role 
 6. Experience of Safeguarding / Child Protection protocols. 
 
 You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
