Hull City Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker (Grade 9) to join our team at Brunswick House. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children, adolescents, and families across Hull.
🌈 Key Responsibilities
✨ Safeguarding First: Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults.
🤝 Collaborative Working: Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, carers, and multi-agency partners.
🏠 Planning for Stability: Contribute to strategies that support safety, permanency, and stability-enabling children to live safely at home wherever possible.
🧠 Reflective Practice: Engage in critical reflection and constructive professional challenge.
👨👩👧 Direct Work: Deliver focused, child-centred direct work with children, adolescents, and families-individually or jointly with colleagues.
📅 Team Involvement: Actively participate in weekly team meetings to ensure purposeful casework.
📝 Case Recording: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for meetings, reviews, panels, courts, conferences, and multi-agency planning.
⚖️ Decision-Making: Contribute to professional decision-making processes on complex or high-risk cases.
📚 Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning, training, and practice development groups.
🛡️ Health & Safety: Follow the council's health and safety policies and responsibilities.
