Social Worker Childrens Higher Grade
Location: Civic Offices, PO1 2AL
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 32.90 per hour

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality social work services to children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Conduct assessments and develop care plans to support children in need, working collaboratively with families and other professionals.
Manage a caseload effectively, adhering to statutory guidelines and local policies.
Offer guidance and support to junior social workers and contribute to their professional development.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to decision-making processes for the welfare of children.
Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in all processes.
Person Specification
Social Work England registration is mandatory.
A minimum of three years of post-qualifying experience in a relevant field.
Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a varied and demanding workload.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with best practices in social work.
Proven experience in handling complex cases and making informed decisions under pressure.
