Position: Social Worker Childrens
Location: Cheshire East
Hourly Rate: £40
Cheshire East Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our specialist Children with Disabilities Hub on an agency basis. This is a unique opportunity to work in a centralised, borough-wide team that provides vital support to some of our most vulnerable children and families.
About the Role:
The Children with Disabilities Hub supports children and young people across the entire spectrum of statutory need, including:
* Child in Need (CIN) plans
* Child Protection (CP) plans
* Care proceedings
* Cared for children
As part of this skilled and dedicated team, you will:
* Hold a varied and manageable caseload
* Work with children and young people with a range of complex and additional needs
* Contribute to child-centred, relationship-based practice grounded in restorative approaches
* Be based at either Macclesfield Town Hall or Delamere House in Crewe, with the flexibility to choose your preferred office base
* Benefit from a hybrid working model, with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Experience working with children with disabilities
* Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding and relevant legislation
* Ability to work in a restorative, strengths-based way
* Confident in managing a full range of statutory responsibilities
