Connect2Socialwork is proud to be working in partnership with a local authority in the West Midlands who are seeking dedicated and passionate Social Workers to join their Children's Safeguarding & Support Teams. About the Role:
The Safeguarding & Support Teams work across three localities in Herefordshire, with six teams made up of Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, and Family Support Workers. The teams operate from three main council offices, offering a blend of office-based collaboration and flexible home working.
Social Workers in these teams work closely with families and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children, using a restorative approach that is embedded in both practice and team culture. They also collaborate with the Council's Legal Team on court applications, supported by dedicated Court Progression Officers.
Requirements:
Fully qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory social care.
Confident in managing a complex caseload.
Strong report-writing skills and experience giving oral evidence in court.
Committed to improving the lives of children and families in Herefordshire.
