Fostering Social Worker (Experienced)
£42,324 - £47,532 + £5,000 R&R | Hybrid Working | Barkingside, East London
Redbridge Council is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join our fostering service with a focus on the supervision and ongoing support of foster carers. This is an opportunity to build lasting relationships with carers, ensure high-quality placements, and be directly involved in improving outcomes for children and young people.
This role is best suited to someone who is confident in managing a caseload of foster carers, understands the complexities of foster care, and is passionate about placement stability.

Key responsibilities:
Provide supervision and support to foster carers
Attend placement planning meetings and statutory reviews
Monitor standards of care and ensure compliance with fostering regulations
Participate in carer training and support groups
Promote placement stability and respond to carer queries and concerns
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
Experience in children's social care, ideally in fostering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to assess, plan and review effectively
A child-centred, outcome-focused approach
