Qualified Social Worker - Post Approval (Fostering)

Dorchester, Dorset 
Up to £38 per hour 
Hybrid Working

Connect2Socialwork are proud to be partnering with Dorset Council to recruit an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Post Approval Fostering Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive, well‑resourced service focused on achieving the best outcomes for children and young people in care.

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting and supervising approved foster carers, ensuring children are placed in safe, stable and nurturing environments.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers in line with regulations and standards
Managing duty responsibilities and working closely with the Placements Team
Undertaking direct work with children, young people and families
Supporting a range of specialist schemes including: 
Mockingbird Constellation
Supported Lodgings
Family Link and Resilience carers
Completing visits, interventions and reviews to ensure positive outcomesAbout You

Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
Minimum 3 years' PQE within UK Children's Services
Experience within fostering or strong safeguarding background
Strong communication, relationship‑building and assessment skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)Why Join?
