We’re Hiring: Adult Mental Health Social Worker – Lewisham Council (CMHT)

RADAAS Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Adult Mental Health Social Worker to join the Neighbourhood 3 Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Lewisham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-established multi-disciplinary team alongside colleagues from South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and voluntary sector partners.
📍 Location: Churchdown Mental Health, Downham (excellent transport links + free local parking)
🕒 Contract: Temporary
📅 Start: ASAP
💼 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
✨ What You’ll Be Doing
*
Acting as a Care Coordinator for adults with long-term and complex mental health needs
*
Holding a caseload of service users under CPA
*
Completing Care Act Assessments and strengths-based support planning
*
Leading and contributing to adult safeguarding (S.42 enquiries)
*
Carrying out risk assessments, care planning and reviews
*
Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT)
*
Taking part in the duty rota and responding to urgent needs when required
✅ We’re Looking For Someone With:
*
Substantial experience in community mental health social work
*
Strong understanding of serious mental illness & recovery-focused approaches
*
Demonstrable knowledge of key legislation:
*
Care Act 2014
*
Mental Health Act 1983
*
Mental Capacity Act 2005
*
Experience working within integrated NHS + Local Authority teams
*
Excellent communication, engagement & documentation skills
*
Commitment to anti-oppressive, culturally-informed practice
