Long-Term Full-Time Position | September 2025 – July 2026
Location: Sittingbourne | Key Stages: KS4 & KS5
Are you a passionate and engaging Sociology teacher looking for a long-term opportunity in a welcoming and inclusive secondary school?
Supply Desk are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and popular secondary school in Sittingbourne, seeking a talented Sociology Teacher (with some Psychology) to join their dedicated Social Sciences department on a full-time basis from September 2025 through to July 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about delivering thought-provoking, inclusive lessons and who is ready to make a long-term impact on student achievement.
The Role:
Teach Sociology across KS4 and KS5, with some additional Psychology lessons included.
Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that challenge and inspire students.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic progress and personal growth.
Maintain excellent standards of behaviour management and student engagement.
Contribute to the wider school ethos, working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting pastoral development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Sociology, and ideally some Psychology, to KS4 and KS5 students.
A genuine passion for Social Sciences and a commitment to student success.
Strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management strategies.
Full-time availability from September 2025 to July 2026.
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
