Job Description
A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in north Liverpool is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to join their team from September 2nd, 2025. Someone with strong experience and subject knowledge is necessary who is dedicated to making a difference to students learning process and education experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach engaged learners in a school that is passionate about social justice, academic achievement, and preparing students for life beyond the classroom. The school has a strong Sixth Form provision and is committed to delivering a high-quality Humanities and social sciences curriculum that challenges and inspires, therefor it is essential to be experienced in teaching sociology up to KS5
The successful qualified Science Teacher will have:
Plan and deliver high-quality Sociology lessons to KS4 and KS5 students
Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and debate
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching to support all learners
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Humanities department and across the wider school
Support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations
