Software Engineer
A fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a global technology company developing cutting-edge communication solutions. This role would suit either a graduate looking to kick-start their career or an experienced engineer seeking to take ownership of complex projects. The team are particularly keen to find someone with strong C++ and TypeScript skills, alongside a passion for high-quality software development.
Location: Just outside Cambridge, UK (hybrid working available - minimum 3 days in office)
Salary: £32,000 for graduates up to £57,000 for experienced engineers, plus excellent benefits
Requirements for Software Engineer:
* Programming skills in C++ and TypeScript
* Experience with object-oriented design and development
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics, or related subject (or equivalent technical qualification)
* Knowledge of automation scripting languages
* Ability to debug and test software on PC platforms or embedded systems
* Familiarity with network applications development
* Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
* Any experience with the following is beneficial: React, Node.js, Python, SQL, Cloud platforms, Git, Agile methodologies
Responsibilities for Software Engineer:
* Design, implement, and test software solutions across both embedded systems and PC-based applications
* Contribute to software architecture, documentation, and design reviews
* Support the wider team with debugging, verification, and quality assurance activities
* Collaborate in an agile environment, working closely with developers, testers, and product stakeholders
* Keep up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to process improvements
