Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer / Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in electrical work and construction, with hands-on experience in installing solar energy systems.
The role is offered with a salary of £35 - £45K
This role requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics, work with high and low voltage systems, and perform fixture installations. The Solar Installer will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet safety standards and comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Responsibilities
* Install solar panels and associated equipment on residential and commercial rooftops.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
* Work with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems to ensure proper connections.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively on the job site.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
* Conduct inspections of installed systems to ensure compliance with NEC standards.
* Assist in fixture installation as part of the overall solar system setup.
* Perform roofing tasks as necessary during the installation process.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, and NEC regulations.
* Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
* Experience with hand tools, power tools, and forklift operation.
* Familiarity with plumbing concepts is a plus.
* Previous construction site experience is essential for understanding job site dynamics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
