An established and growing renewable energy company is looking for an experienced and motivated Solar PV Electrician to join their team. Specialising in the design and installation of solar PV systems and low-carbon heating solutions, this business has been at the forefront of clean energy innovation since 2010.

The Role
As a Solar PV Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems and associated renewable technologies. Working across large-scale commercial and domestic sites, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.
You’ll also support the delivery of heat pump and EV charging systems as part of wider low-carbon projects, gaining valuable cross-technology experience in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out the electrical installation of ground-mounted and roof-mounted solar PV systems
Commission and test installed systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
Perform electrical servicing and maintenance on new and existing solar PV systems
Support the installation and commissioning of heat pump systems
Install and maintain EV charging units for domestic and commercial customers
Complete accurate documentation, certification, and handover information
Ensure all work is compliant with industry standards, regulations, and H&S practices
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times on site
The Ideal Candidate
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
Experience working with solar PV installations – both roof- and ground-mounted
Familiarity with EV charging systems and/or low-carbon technologies (desirable)
Excellent fault-finding and commissioning skills
Good understanding of current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition preferred)
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail, safety-focused, and quality-driven
Full UK driving licence (essential)
