Astute's Renewables team is very proudly partnered with a huge player in the global solar market. We have a focus on the UK market for them and we're actively looking for a Solar Technician / Solar O&M Technician / Solar Project Engineer to join them, covering a variety of their commercial-sized assets which would include rooftop and ground-mounted solar.
This position is field based and we're looking for a Solar Technician / Solar O&M Technician / Solar Project Engineer with a basic salary of up to £42,000 and you'd also receive a hugely impressive benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Solar Technician role
Reporting to the Regional Team Leader you will:
General maintenance across commercial solar, rooftop assets
Carrying out the mechanical and civil side of solar installation where required, installing the racking and the groundworks required too
Ensuring the HSE is followed at all times
Daily reports on the work carried out on site
Conduct inspections on the systems, troubleshooting issues and correcting where possible
Support the execution of all f the company's additional services work, like system optimisation, warranty-related work, panel cleaning and system upgrades
Supervising third party contractors on site if and when required
Be client facing where required on site, liaising with them to explain works carried out
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Commercial/industrial scale solar experience
Level 2 or 3 electrical qualifications
18th edition is a bonus but not mandatory
CSCS or ECS is a bonus, not essential
Personal skills
The Solar Technician role would suit someone who is:
Good at fault-finding and has a methodical approach
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
