We’re looking for someone with experience in electronic assembly and soldering to IPC Class 3 standards, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in doing things right the first time.
Soldering Technician - Key Responsibilities:
Solder SMT and PTH components, wires, and thermal planes using various equipment
Follow detailed assembly instructions and build standards
Perform hand cleaning, fit mechanical fixings, and maintain a clean, safe work area
Complete traceability paperwork including batch records, build reports, and logs
Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to identify and correct errors
Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements
Maintain tools and equipment such as microscopes and soldering irons
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and ESD requirements
Work flexibly to help meet weekly production targets
Person Specification - Soldering Technician:
Minimum 12 months’ experience soldering electronic PCBs
IPC 610 or J-STD certification (current)
Skilled in SMT rework, multi-layer/PTH hand soldering, and wire modifications
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Able to work efficiently with high accuracy and throughput
Professional attitude and strong communication skills
A team player who can also work independently and take initiative
