Small Claims Solicitor / Lead
Modern Legal Firm | (Hybrid)
£55,000 - 65,000 DOE + genuine work-life balance

You’ll take full ownership of your caseload, running matters from pre-action through to enforcement. It’s hands-on litigation with the autonomy to actually get things done, not sit around waiting for someone’s sign-off.
What you’ll be doing:
* Managing a varied caseload of small claims and debt recovery matters from start to finish
* Applying CPR, pre-action protocols, and case management principles with confidence
* Drafting particulars of claim, witness statements, defences, and court bundles
* Conducting advocacy at small claims hearings where appropriate
* Liaising directly with clients, maintaining strong communication and trust
* Using Proclaim (or similar case management systems) to manage workflow efficiently
You’ll bring:
* Qualification as a Solicitor / CILEX / FILEX (or equivalent)
* PQE in debt recovery or small claims litigation
* Strong knowledge of civil procedure rules, costs, and enforcement
* Excellent drafting and analytical skills
* Confidence working independently in a fast-paced environment
* An interest in working with modern legal tech and continuous process improvement
Nice to have (but not essential):
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
* Familiarity with team coordination or workflow planning
* A decent sense of humour and a collaborative approach
