Sous Chef – Award-Winning Countryside Gastropub
Due to location, own transport is required.
We’re working with an acclaimed countryside gastropub known for its seasonal menus, locally sourced ingredients, and welcoming atmosphere. With a growing reputation and a passionate kitchen team, we’re now looking for a Sous Chef ready to take the next step in their culinary career.
You’ll work closely with a highly experienced Head Chef and Executive Chef to develop and deliver modern British dishes with flair. This is a brilliant opportunity to thrive in a creative, supportive kitchen with real input and opportunities for progression.
What’s On Offer:
* Salary: £35,000–£37,500 per year + approx. £450/month in gratuities
* 4.5 day working week

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
* Contribute to seasonal menu development and execution
* Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination
* Lead by example and help train and motivate junior kitchen staff
* Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
About You:
* Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a busy, quality-led kitchen
* Confident team leader with great communication skills
* Knowledgeable in food prep, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety
* Calm under pressure with excellent organisational abilities
* Passionate about cooking and delivering top-notch guest experiences
