SOUTHERN FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - HOMEBASED

They are looking to recruit a flexible and team-oriented Field Service Engineer to support their customers across the South of the UK. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a Southern territory, maintaining all systems through an organised visit schedule and proactive callouts
Promote the full range of products and solutions within the territory
Coordinate and deliver a regional preventative maintenance programme for all systems
Plan and manage time effectively across the region to achieve business objectives
Demonstrate correct system usage and advise customers on preventative maintenance best practices
Project-manage the delivery and implementation of ergonomic or workflow-improving solutions
Represent the business professionally at all times
Provide product demonstrations, training, and application support to customers and colleagues
Conduct Risk Assessments and produce Method Statements for customer installations
Maintain accurate records of service activities, system movements, and ensure timely submission to the office
Carry out all tasks in alignment with business priorities and operational requirements
Test and commission systems prior to installation
Manage stock levels of machines and spare parts, ensuring adequate inventory is maintained on the vehicleRequirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a field-based engineering role
Ideally qualified to HNC/HND level in electrical engineering or equivalent, or apprentice trained
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems (including single and three-phase)
Able to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and analyse and resolve technical issues
Capable of handling all customer interactions with discretion, professionalism, and sensitivity to individual needs
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
