An inclusive and high-performing school in Newham is seeking an enthusiastic Spanish Teacher for a maternity cover position starting September 2025. This is a long-term opportunity, offering a dynamic teaching environment and the chance to make a real impact on students' linguistic and cultural education.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Spanish across various key stages.
Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that develop language skills and cultural understanding.
Assess, track, and report on student progress.
Create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Participate in departmental planning and extracurricular activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across the Modern Foreign Languages department.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Spanish or a related subject.
Proven experience teaching Spanish in a UK secondary school.
Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
A passion for language education and cultural awareness.
Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
