About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting pupils with additional learning needs? Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a newly developed secondary school in Blackwood. This role is within the school’s Special Resource Base, working closely with pupils with complex needs.
You’ll provide vital 1:1 and small group support to help pupils thrive emotionally and academically. If you are resilient, patient, and committed to creating a positive learning environment, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
Provide social and emotional support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
Support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis
Adapt flexibly to changing classroom situations
Build trusting relationships with pupils, teachers, and staff
Requirements
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced Child-Only DBS Certificate
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Two professional references covering the past 24 months
Experience working with pupils with special educational needs is desirable but not essential — personal experience or willingness to learn is welcomed
