About the Role:
Design and deliver creative, individualized lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEN, including those with ASD, SEMH, MLD, and other learning differences
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting teaching strategies to meet evolving needs
Work collaboratively with parents, teaching assistants, and external professionals to support pupils’ holistic development
The ideal candidate will:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of abilities and needs
Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting every child’s individual learning journey
Skilled in adapting teaching methods and resources to meet diverse learning needs and promote inclusion
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Collaborative team player, experienced in working closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to deliver effective personalised support
Knowledgeable about relevant SEN legislation, assessment frameworks, and best practices in SEND education
