Job Title: Special Educational Needs Support Worker Primary Location: Liverpool Salary: GBP105GBP115 per day Job Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only Start Date: ASAP DBS: Enhanced DBS required (on the Update Service or willing to apply) We are seeking caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs Support Workers to join primary schools across Liverpool, providing vital support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children, helping them overcome barriers to learning and supporting their social and emotional development. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies Support pupils engagement in classroom activities and promote positive behaviour Help build pupils confidence, independence, and social skills Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and families to monitor progress and adjust support as needed Requirements: Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school setting Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Two recent professional references Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude Good communication and teamwork skills What We Offer: Competitive daily rate of GBP105GBP115 Immediate start available Long-term placements in supportive primary school environments Access to training and professional development opportunities How to Apply: If you are passionate about supporting children with SEN and making a real difference in a primary school setting, please submit your CV today.
