SEN Teacher – Northampton Location: Northampton Salary: £140-£170 per day (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary by up to 45 minutes) Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Role Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Northampton. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with children who have a range of special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored lessons to pupils with SEN in line with individual learning plans. Provide 1:1 and small group instruction where necessary. Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure pupil progress. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals. Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress regularly. Who We're Looking For Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – must Experience supporting or teaching children with SEN/SEMH needs, or a strong interest in doing so. A kind, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs. Full-time availability. Proactive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills. Permanent UK residency – essential. Willingness to obtain or already hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Two recent professional references (from within the last 24 months). Desirable: Previous experience working in a specialist SEN setting.
