Are you a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs? Academics are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to join our team, working across special and mainstream schools in Doncaster on a flexible, temporary ongoing basis.

Contract: Flexible, temporary ongoing
Pay: £88.94 - £100 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that suits you
About the Role
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and communication or sensory difficulties. You'll help create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with SEN, or for individuals looking to develop their career within special education.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with a range of SEN.
Assist the class teacher with implementing personalised learning plans.
Encourage emotional, social, and academic development.
Support with classroom management and behaviour strategies.
Promote independence and confidence in learning.
Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support pupil progress.
Candidate Requirements
✔ Experience working with children or young people with SEN (essential).
✔ Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs.
✔ A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
