Special Needs Learning Support Assistant - Crawley
Full-time | Immediate Start | Long-term opportunity
Academics are working with a specialist school in the Crawley area who are seeking a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a special needs learning support assistant who is passionate about supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role:
Supporting students with special educational needs in and out of the classroom
Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
Encouraging independence, building confidence, and promoting positive behaviour
Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
We are looking for:
Previous experience as a special needs learning support assistant, supporting children or young people (desirable but not essential)
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young learners
Able to commute to Crawley
