Salary: £90.00 - £110.00 Per Day (£17,500 - £21,450)

About Us
Veritas Education are working with a dedicated primary special educational needs (SEN) school committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for pupils aged 4 to 11 years old. The Role
Veritas Education are looking to support school in recruiting multiple compassionate and enthusiastic Special Needs Support Assistants to join their dynamic and supportive team. You will work closely with teachers, other support staff, NHS Staff/therapists, and parents to provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Asperger's Syndrome
Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
SEMH and behavioural challenges
Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualised support based on pupils' EHCPs and learning plans
Support emotional regulation and social interaction
Use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, visual aids, and sensory approaches to help support and develop learners communication.
Foster independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Contribute to planning and reviewing progress with the wider SEN team
De-escalate and manage crisis/at-risk behaviour
Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, from either within a school setting or another sector (Care, Sports Coaching, Support Work for exmaple)
Knowledge of Autism/Special Needs, communication strategies, and behaviour support
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and willingness to learn
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
