Job Description

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in the heart of Didsbury, Manchester is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to join their team after the October half term. This is a full-time position running through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for continuation for the right candidate. The successful teacher will lead a small, well-supported Nurture Group comprising seven pupils who benefit from additional social, emotional, and academic support. The group is further supported by two experienced teaching assistants, creating a nurturing and structured environment where every child can thrive. The Special Needs Teacher will: Plan and deliver tailored learning experiences that promote progress across all areas of development. Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment that builds confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to ensure each child's individual needs are met. Maintain clear records of progress and contribute to the wider school community through open communication and teamwork.This Didsbury-based primary school is proud of its warm, community-focused ethos and commitment to inclusive education.
