SEND Teacher – Secondary (Primary Curriculum) | Taunton
Are you an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher looking for your next opportunity?
We are seeking a dedicated teacher to work full-time with students aged 11–16 in Taunton, delivering learning at a Primary Curriculum level to children with a range of additional needs, including:
ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)
PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
Complex needs
The Role:
Full-time teaching in a supportive SEND school environment
Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom where every student can thrive
Working closely with support staff, therapists, and families to achieve the best outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching students with SEND, ideally across a range of needs
Knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and how to adapt it for older learners
Patience, creativity, and a commitment to making a difference
