Job Description

Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) - Bristol - Drivers Essential 🚗 Zen Educate is seeking empathetic, resilient, and proactive Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join a unique educational provider in Bristol. We have several full-time openings starting as soon as possible across multiple specialist sites. Due to the nature of the role, which involves supporting pupils across various small centres, a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential. The Role: Specialist & Therapeutic Support You will be joining an organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable pupils with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated learning difficulties. These centres offer a highly personalised and therapeutic environment outside of a large mainstream school. Your main goal is to help pupils re-engage with education, manage their emotions, and build positive social skills. This will involve: * 1:1 and Small Group Support: Providing dedicated support to pupils who have experienced trauma or have difficulty managing their behaviour. * Behaviour Management: Assisting staff in maintaining a safe, calm, and structured environment. * Curriculum Engagement: Helping pupils access tailored, practical, and hands-on learning activities. * Flexibility & Travel: Being able to work across different centre locations within Bristol as required by the student timetable. What We're Looking For We need TAs who are ready to hit the ground running in a challenging yet incredibly rewarding setting: * Driving: A full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle are MANDATORY. * Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people with SEMH, ASD, or complex needs is highly desirable. * Resilience: A calm, patient, and highly resilient attitude, with confidence in managing challenging behaviour. * Commitment: Available to start a full-time role as soon as possible.
