We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning or behavioural needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans (EHCPs or IEPs)
Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and confidence
Help to manage classroom behaviour positively and consistently
Assist with daily classroom activities and general administrative support when required
Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive atmosphere where every child can succeed
Requirements:
Experience working with children with special educational needs (in school or other settings)
A calm, caring, and flexible approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent
