Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Part-Time (4 Days) - Lambeth Primary School - Near Tulse Hill Station Location: Lambeth - 5 mins from Tulse Hill Station Start Date: September 2025 Schedule: Part-time - 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri) Contract: Term-Time Only Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience) Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? A warm and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work part-time, 4 days a week, starting this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is nurturing, patient, and keen to make a real difference in a child's educational journey. Key Responsibilities - Special Needs Teaching Assistant: Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Collaborate with class teachers to tailor lesson plans and resources to individual learning profiles Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment that supports the emotional and academic growth of every child Track and record student progress, sharing updates with the class teacher, SENCo, and parents when appropriate Help implement and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and SEN strategies in line with school policies Offer support in managing behaviour, transitions, and learning activities throughout the school day What We're Looking For: Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care setting A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour and communication Strong teamwork and communication skills A genuine interest in inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners SEN-related training or qualifications (desirable, but not essential) This Special Needs Teaching Assistant role offers a unique part-time schedule that suits work-life balance while allowing you to make a lasting impact on pupils who benefit from tailored support.
