Smile Education are seeking multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to support a large specialist primary setting in Telford. This inclusive and supportive school caters for pupils aged 4–11 years old with complex and significant needs in at least two of the following areas:
Cognition & Learning (moderate learning difficulties)
Communication & Interaction (Autism / Speech & Language)
Emotional, Social & Wellbeing Difficulties (including sensory/physical needs)All students have an EHCP in place, and class sizes are smaller (around 14 pupils), allowing for a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
The Role:
Supporting pupils across the classroom, in small groups, and on a 1:1 basis
Assisting in the delivery of the curriculum to meet individual learning needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing
Working closely with teachers and a wider team of professionalsThe School is Looking For:
Experienced and passionate SEND Teaching Assistants who want to make a positive impact
Candidates with a minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant subject (or working towards this)
Someone with recent experience supporting pupils with SEND
A confident individual who can manage behaviour and build positive relationships
A reliable team player committed to working 8:30am–3:30pm dailyRequirements:
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Smile Education)
Strong communication skills and a positive, resilient attitude
