Job Opportunity: Dedicated Teaching Assistant - Supporting Special Educational Needs (Term Time, Temporary)

A Fleetwood Primary are seeking SSA's in preparation for September. This Primary school is an inclusive academy that welcomes children of all abilities and backgrounds to access education. They offer a fantastic faculty environment, access to staff training such as Phonics, INSET days and first aid. We are seeking a special support assistant to work between 3-5 days term time, between Monday - Friday 8:30-3:30. Pay is £13.84-£15 per hour based on experience and role requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students with mild special educational needs, helping them to overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and well-being of pupils with a range of mild needs, including:
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Global Learning Delay (GLD)
Cognitive Support needs
Dyspraxia
Dyslexia
ADHD/ Autism Your responsibilities will include:
Working under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised support plans.
Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
Adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.
Supporting students with their social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and self-regulation.
Assisting with personal care where necessary (with appropriate training and sensitivity).
Contributing to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Observing and reporting on student progress and any emerging concerns.
Building positive and supportive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities.About You:

Passionate about working with children with special educational needs.
Patient, empathetic, and understanding of individual learning styles.
A good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to the role.
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or have equivalent experience.
Have a good understanding of child development and learning.
