Job Description
Position: 1-2-1 Home Tuition Tutor for Year 9 Pupil (Autism & ADHD)
Location: Norwich
Hours: 15 hours per week
Duration: ASAP Start date
Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced tutor to provide tailored one-on-one home tuition to a Year 9 pupil who has autism and ADHD. The pupil is currently awaiting placement in a specialist provision, and this role is crucial in supporting their learning and development during this transitional period.
Responsibilities:
Deliver personalized educational support aligned with the pupil’s needs and abilities
Use engaging and adaptive teaching strategies suitable for neurodiverse learners
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
Collaborate with parents, carers, and relevant professionals to ensure consistency and progress
Monitor and record the pupil’s progress and adapt approaches as needed
Candidate Requirements:
Experience working with children with autism and ADHD
Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices
Patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills
DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant qualifications in education, SEN support, or related fields preferred
