Simply Education is working with a specialist school providing tailored support for diverse learning needs that supports students aged 7-16 with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), and associated behavioural challenges.
We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic specalist learning assistant to join this dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mainstream experience who is looking to transition into a SEND environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, helping them access tailored learning programmes.
Assist with daily routines and encourage independence and confidence.
Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to meet each pupil's individual needs.About You
Experience working with children or young people (school, care, or youth settings).
Patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a proactive approach to learning support.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
