Specialist Provision Officer (Alternative Provision) Pay: £17.29 per hour, 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri Location: Ipswich / hybrid - 2 days per week in the office (one of them must be Tuesday) Length of assignment: 6 months Are you passionate about making a real difference in your community? Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Suffolk County Council for a temporary Specialist Provision Officer to help support meet the growing demand for Specialist Education provisions. You will be joining the Inclusion Service, part of Children and Young People's Directorate (CYP). In this post you will be responsible for ensuring that support is in place for the Specialist Provision Managers to ensure sound operational delivery of commissioning activity. You will take responsibility for contracts with unregistered Alternative Providers, carrying out Contract Review meetings and ensuring appropriate measures are in place to deliver the best possible outcomes for Suffolk CYP. Your work will support the development and contribute to successful completion of contract management processes within team. The successful candidate will be experienced or possess knowledge of special educational needs provision including alternative provision, experience of service improvement and continued quality assurance, excellent IT skills including good excel skills, ability to maintain accurate records, databases and systems, ability to make constructive contribution to meetings with a range of stakeholders, settings and contexts and experience of operational work within a relevant service area. Interviews will be held in person, DBS check will be carried out prior to start, along with completed 3 years reference history. Candidates will need to commit to ASAP start once completed.
