️ Specialist Speech and Language Therapist – Fixed Term
Location: Norwich (NR16)
Salary: £32,000 – £38,700 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 40 per week | Full-year contract
Contract: Fixed Term until November 2026
Start Date: As soon as possible after 1st September
Key Health is recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider in Norwich (NR16) for a qualified Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team in a school supporting students aged 6–16 with communication needs, autism, SEMH, and specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.
👩⚕️ About the Role
You'll play a central role in delivering integrated, evidence-based speech and language therapy within a collaborative setting. With small class sizes (around 7 pupils with 3 staff), your work will have clear impact and support.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
*
Manage a caseload of students with complex communication needs
*
Provide specialist assessments and deliver targeted therapy plans
*
Liaise with families and professionals to support pupil development
*
Contribute to EHCPs and Annual Review reports
*
Create accessible resources and deliver occasional training to staff
*
Participate in the screening and assessment of new students
*
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards
✅ Requirements
Qualifications:
*
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
*
HCPC registration
*
RCSLT membership
Essential Experience & Knowledge:
*
Experience with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and trauma-informed approaches
*
Use of a range of therapy tools/interventions
*
Strong report writing and communication skills
*
Understanding of safeguarding procedures
*
Experience in specialist education or similar settings
Desirable:
*
Knowledge of behaviour support strategies
*
Familiarity with clinical recording systems (e.g. Earwig)
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a car (due to rural location)
