Salary Range: £90-£110 (dependent on experience)

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a dedicated Specialist Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary, long-term basis in the Tunbridge area. This rewarding role involves working closely with students who have a range of physical disabilities, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life. As a specialist Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting individual students or small groups, helping to deliver tailored learning plans and providing essential care when needed.
The successful Specialist Teaching Assistant will have/be able to:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with physical disabilities (education or care setting)
- Relevant qualifications in education, care, or support (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, health and social care)
- Knowledge of hoisting, manual handling, and/or intimate care (training can be provided)
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and physiotherapy programs where required
- Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and SENCOs to ensure a supportive learning environment
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom experience
