Specialist Teaching Assistants - Liskeard
We're working with a number of schools in and around Liskeard that are looking to appoint experienced and confident Specialist Teaching Assistants. These roles are ideal for individuals with a background in SEN, SEMH, behaviour support or targeted intervention work.
The role:
Supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom and through targeted sessions
Working 1:1 and in small groups to build engagement and progress
Assisting class teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive education
Managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and supportive way
Full-time, term-time only (part-time may be available)
You'll need:
Experience working with children or young people in an education, care or support setting
A proactive, resilient and compassionate approach
The ability to build trust and maintain clear professional boundaries
Bonus points for Team Teach, Makaton or similar training - but not essential
