Job Title: Specialist Teaching Assistant (PMLD)
Location: Ammanford, Llanelli
Contract: Full-Time

We are looking for an energetic, proactive and resilient Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalised support to pupils with complex needs, including those who are non-verbal.
Assist with Personal Care, PEG feeding, and other daily needs.
Work closely with teaching staff to deliver individual learning programmes.
Support pupils in a busy, active environment — keeping pace with their energy and engaging them in all aspects of school life.
Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and families, ensuring consistency and safeguarding at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN/SEN).
A positive, energetic approach and the ability to be proactive throughout the school day.
Confidence, resilience, and flexibility when working in a dynamic environment.
Strong work ethic and commitment to following school protocols.
Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils who have a wide range of needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
