Specialist Teaching Assistants - Cornwall
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for Specialist Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools in Cornwall, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with experience in education or those coming from care, support work, youth work, or other roles with transferable skills who want to make a real difference.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including SEN, SEMH, and behavioural challenges
Delivering targeted interventions in phonics, reading, writing, and maths
Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to create inclusive learning environments
Building positive relationships and helping pupils develop confidence and independence
About You:
Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable but not essential
A caring, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Open to applicants with transferable skills from care, support work, or similar backgrounds
Commitment to promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment
