We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and support students' communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
1:1 Interventions: Deliver tailored speech and language interventions to individual students, following the specific guidance and strategies provided by the Speech and Language Therapist.
Group Sessions: Conduct small group sessions to enhance language skills, promoting effective communication and social interaction among peers.
Progress Monitoring: Track and record students' progress meticulously, ensuring that interventions are effective and goals are being met. Provide detailed feedback to the Speech and Language Therapist and teaching staff.
Resource Preparation: Develop and prepare engaging and appropriate resources to support speech and language activities. Adapt materials to meet the varying needs of students.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to integrate speech and language strategies into classroom activities and the broader curriculum.
Parent Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's progress and ways to support their language development at home.
About You:
Proven experience in delivering 1:1 speech and language interventions.
Ability to follow and implement the advice of the Speech and Language Therapist effectively.
Strong organisational skills to monitor and document pupil progress.
Passionate about supporting children's communication and language development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Adaptability and creativity in developing resources and strategies to support students' needs.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in students' lives.
