Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Hillingdon
Start Date: ASAP / September Start Available
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time

A specialist SEN provision in Hillingdon is seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to support children and young people with complex communication and learning needs, including Autism (ASC), SLD, PMLD, and speech and language difficulties.
Role Overview
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
* Conduct assessments and deliver individualised therapy programmes
* Support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs, including non-verbal learners
* Implement and promote total communication approaches (e.g., Makaton, PECS, AAC)
* Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and other therapists to embed strategies across the school day
* Contribute to EHCP targets, reviews, and reports
* Provide training and guidance to staff on communication strategies and interventions
* Monitor pupil progress and adapt programmes to meet individual needs
* Promote a communication-friendly environment within the setting
Requirements
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registration – essential
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly ASC, SLD, PMLD
* Knowledge of AAC, Makaton, PECS, or similar communication systems
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to manage a caseload independently
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
