SSpeech and Language Therapist – Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) – Enfield We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a unique and innovative PRU setting in Enfield. This part-time role (2 or 3 days per week) NOVERMBER START offers an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable children and young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools, many with complex and co-occurring needs. Main Duties for the Speech and Language Therapist include: Assessing, planning, and delivering targeted therapy to pupils with complex speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) alongside social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Designing and implementing evidence-based, preventative intervention programmes. Collaborating closely with teachers, mentors, social workers, and external agencies to support communication needs across all settings. Contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), statutory assessments, and multi-disciplinary meetings. Providing staff training and ongoing support to build confidence in communication strategies in the classroom. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards. Supporting safeguarding processes and child protection meetings through effective multi-agency working.To Be Successful: Qualified and HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist. Experience supporting children and young people with SLCN and SEMH needs, ideally within educational or specialist settings. Passion for working with vulnerable young people who have experienced exclusion and disadvantage. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Resilient and enthusiastic, ready to embrace the challenges of a PRU environment. Enhanced DBS (we can assist with this). Eligibility to work in the UK.
