Speech & Language Therapist Salary: £36,000 – £46,000 (depending on experience)
Location: South Kensington London
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Recruitment Fee: 15.0%
Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a school setting. The role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy to children and young people aged 11–19 with specific learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), dyslexia, and dyscalculia.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, hands-on Speech and Language Therapy interventions to a defined caseload of students with complex needs.
Independently manage a varied caseload of pupils with developmental speech and language disorders, sensory needs, and learning difficulties.
Carry out detailed assessments and create tailored therapy plans and reports.
Deliver therapy both in-class and in small group or one-to-one settings.
Collaborate closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to ensure consistency and integration of therapy across the school day.
Contribute to multidisciplinary reviews, EHCPs, and transition planning.
Participate in CPD opportunities and help shape best practices across the therapy department.Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
Current registration with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
Membership of RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a qualified SaLT.
Demonstrable experience assessing, diagnosing, and implementing management plans.
Experience working with children or young people with ASC, dyslexia, and other specific learning difficulties.
A passion for working in an educational setting and supporting pupils with SEN.Desirable:
Prior experience working in a school setting.
Solid background in NHS services, particularly community paediatrics or special schools.
