Specialist Speech & Language Therapist
(Full-time/Part-time)
South London
Term-time only (39 weeks)
36 hours per week (flexible/part-time hours considered)
Salary (pro-rata for term-time only):
From £39,381 (PO2/31 – equivalent to NHS Band 6) to £52,077 (PO6/45 – equivalent to NHS Band 7)
Hourly rate: £23.67 – £31.30 per hour
Zest Education is recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking special educational needs school in South London that is seeking a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join its in-house SaLC Therapy Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of pupils with a focus on Deafness and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN). You will play a key role in supporting students’ communication development and educational progress through tailored, impactful interventions.
What we’re looking for:

A qualified Speech and Language Therapist with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience (desirable)
*
Experience working in a range of educational or clinical settings
*
A strong interest or background in working with Deaf children and young people with complex communication needs
*
Minimum BSL Level 1 (BSL Level 3 is highly desirable)
*
A collaborative, creative, and enthusiastic approach

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
