Are you a recent Sports Science graduate, an experienced sports coach, or someone with a strong background in sport and physical activity? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a vibrant secondary school in Camden that is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join their team as a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant.
This full-time role is perfect for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting before pursuing a career in teaching, coaching, or youth development. Whether you're planning to become a PE teacher or just passionate about inspiring young people through sport, this could be the ideal stepping stone.
About the Role:
As a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support PE lessons and extracurricular sports clubs.
Work closely with students to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and confidence.
Assist in classroom-based subjects when not supporting in PE.
Support students with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Help manage equipment, set up activities, and contribute to lesson planning where appropriate.
Be a positive role model and promote a healthy, active lifestyle.
Requirements:
A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related subject.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g., coaching, mentoring, youth work) - formal or informal.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
A genuine passion for sport and education.
