Are you a recent Sports Graduate with a passion for supporting young people? Do you want to use your skills to make a real difference in a specialist educational setting? Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Sports Graduate to work in a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Lancaster, starting immediately.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in education, youth work, or mental health support. You'll be working with students who may face challenges such as behavioural difficulties, Autism, ADHD, or emotional needs, helping them to engage through physical activity and structured support.
The Role:
Supporting students in lessons and during physical activities
Using sport to engage pupils and build positive relationships
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
Working one-to-one or in small groups to provide targeted help
Collaborating with teaching and pastoral staff to support individual progressIdeal Candidate Will Have:
A degree in Sports Science, PE, or a related subject
Experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, youth work, teaching assistant roles)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
