Job Description
Our client is a global leader in specialist engineering, based in Blackwood, Gwent. They repair and overhaul high-value components to OEM, UKCAA and EASA-approved standards, supporting customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With over 50 years’ experience and a 2,500-strong team worldwide, they deliver technical excellence and first-class service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately measure and mix sealants, filler materials and paints to specified ratios.
* Apply primers, topcoat paints and spray coatings to components in line with required standards.
* Carry out basic masking tasks and minor filling to ensure a high-quality cosmetic finish.
* Prepare and rub down surfaces prior to painting.
* Work effectively as part of a team, supporting projects and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
* Flexible to meet business needs, including working different shift patterns when required.
* Willingness to learn correct work documentation procedures and develop knowledge of parts and processes during the training period.
* Take ownership for the quality and accuracy of your own work, ensuring compliance with standards.
* Safely meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation and parts control.
Key Requirements:
* Previous painting experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical specifications, manuals, and work instructions.
* Confident in documenting work accurately and clearly.
* Good arithmetic skills and excellent attention to detail when following written instructions.
* Competent computer skills to access repair documents online and use in-house production applications
